It is understood that in the past, when the World Health Organization (WHO) managed the "World Medical School Directory" (WDMS), traditional medical schools (Chinese medicine schools) and Western medicine schools were placed side by side. However, after WFME took over WDMS, this approach changed. Now WDMS only includes the establishment of Western medicine clinical medicine professional medical colleges, and does not include traditional Chinese medicine and other traditional medicine in this list. However, this does not mean that the World Health Organization does not recognize the status of a medical school that only runs a Chinese medicine clinical professional school.
